Tuition, Aid, and Enrollment

Below you’ll find an overview of tuition, available financial assistance, and the enrollment policies that guide our school year.

Our goal is to make this information easy to understand so families know what to expect as they plan for the upcoming year.

Tuition and Refund Policy

Tuition for the full academic year is considered a binding financial commitment. After July 1, 2025, no portion of tuition will be refunded or canceled if a student is absent or withdrawn from First Presbyterian Preschool.

A partial refund may be available only if all of the following conditions are met:

  • The family is relocating outside the Metropolitan Atlanta Area
(Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton, Butts, Cherokee, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Henry, Newton, Rockdale, and Walton counties).

  • Written notice of withdrawal is submitted before July 1, 2026.

  • Tuition already paid will be refunded minus a 25% administrative fee.

Enrollment and tuition received after July 1, 2026 are non-refundable, regardless of circumstance.

The Preschool reserves the right to adjust schedules, personnel, policies, and practices as needed.

Financial Assistance

Through the Mamie Heinz Scholarship Fund, FPP offers tuition assistance to a limited number of families who demonstrate financial need. Our goal is to ensure that children who would benefit from an FPP education have access to our program, regardless of financial circumstances.

Families interested in applying should contact Julie Brooks at jbrooks@firstpresatl.org to request an application. All applications must include the required tax documents to be considered. Limited scholarship funds may become available after initial admission notifications are sent.

Enrollment Agreement

Families enrolling at FPP agree to the terms of the annual tuition contract, including full-year payment obligations. Paying tuition in installments does not make the tuition agreement a fractional contract.

Additional policies include:

  • Enrollment may be terminated if tuition is ten (10) days or more late.

  • A $100 late fee applies to payments received after posted due dates.

  • All overdue accounts must be resolved before a student can register for the next school year.

  • School recommendations and records will not be sent to other schools while accounts remain overdue.

Georgia Promise Scholarship Program

The Georgia Promise Scholarship is a state-funded education choice program that provides eligible families up to $6,500 per student per year to help cover K–12 education costs outside of the traditional public school system, including private school tuition.

The state determines eligibility and is not guaranteed. Families must meet specific requirements, which may include:

  • The student is a rising kindergartner or has attended a Georgia public school for at least two consecutive semesters

  • Residence within a public school attendance zone is identified among the lowest-performing 25% of schools in Georgia

Because eligibility requirements and school zone lists can change, families are encouraged to review the most current information directly through the official Georgia Promise website.

First Presbyterian Preschool does not determine eligibility and cannot guarantee funding. All applications and approvals are handled directly through the state program.
